Concert in Idaho Falls Benefits 3 year-old with Cancer

One family in Idaho Falls says they’re amazed at how many members of the community came together Monday night on their behalf.

Hundreds of people went to the Civic Auditorium, where they bought raffle tickets and listened to the performing group, “S.O.S.”

All proceeds benefit 3-year-old Alazae Jobe and his family.  Alazae was diagnosed with cancer last year. Doctors found a five pound tumor in his stomach, and he went through eight rounds of chemo and two major surgeries.

Luckily his cancer has been in remission for about six months. Total proceeds were not available Monday night, but it is likely that thousands of dollars were raised for the family.

Charity Jobe, Alazae’s mom: “The community is amazing. I didn’t know there would be as good an outcome as there has been tonight, it’s been wonderful.  When it’s in your own community — you know — I’ve seen things but I’ve never dreamed it’d be this amount of people here.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is sending Alazae and his family to Orlando soon, where his wish of going to Disneyworld will be granted.
